Hi @robedwards-cti,

This looks really interesting. I'd be interested to see this in action, as it's something that's long been on my TODO list.

I have an open issue, which was part of the Umami demo repository, that this work would be great to go towards if you have the capacity: druxt#158

I will try to groom the issue a bit over the weekend, and I will also try to setup a branch with a cherry-picked version of this commit.
