+## Barcodescanner
+The barcode scanners are required for automated workpiece recognition, one scanner for each machine except for the base station which requires two. 
+The new barcode scanner provides the data via USB port. Since USB is not an industrial standard there needs to be a «gateway». 
+This «gateway» in form of a Raspberry Pi writes the data on the existing OPC UA server from the Festo PLC.
+Product barcodes on the bases are UPC-E codes.
