OFS{"\t"} becomes OFS{""} in terminal

I have just started to use send-code, but I have already discovered a strange bug;

when specifying OFS{"\t"} in atom, in terminal it becomes OFS{""}.

I ran the exact same code in BBedit and it worked perfectly.
