# LOOKING FOR MAINTAINERS
# DEPRECATED

I ([wingrunr21](https://github.com/wingrunr21)) unfortunately do not have enough time to maintain this extension. I am looking for folks with experience to step in and help.
Shopify's [ruby-lsp](https://github.com/Shopify/ruby-lsp) and associated [vscode-ruby-lsp](https://github.com/Shopify/vscode-ruby-lsp) are recommended alternatives to this extension. It is substantially easier to produce a high-quality LSP implementation using Ruby itself vs relying on another language such as TypeScript.

If you are interested, please send me an email. Contributors to the project are preferred.
In addition, sponsorship of a project by a company like Shopify could help to ensure a high-quality developer experience going forward. Even with multiple people helping on this project, keeping up with Microsoft's development of VSCode plus the wide array of Ruby community tooling is a tall undertaking.

As of 4/2/2023, the VSCode extensions are not marked deprecated. They will be within the next few weeks.

👏 Thank you for all the work on this. While I'm excited about what Shopify is doing for the editor experience, I appreciate all the tools like this that helped us before it.

Thank you @wingrunr21. This extension was a huge inspiration for our team at Shopify to decide to invest in this area. It showed to us what could be possible.
