Pjazi (also spelled Thjazi or Þjazi in Old Norse), a notable jötunn (giant) in Norse mythology. Pjazi is famous for his role in the myth where he kidnaps the goddess Iðunn, who guards the apples of immortality that keep the gods young. His actions set off a series of events, including his eventual death at the hands of the gods, after which his daughter, Skadi, seeks revenge but ends up marrying the sea god Njörðr.
