the hash of https://sourceware.org/pub/binutils/releases/binutils-2.40.tar.bz2 doesn't match (expected f8298eb153a4b37d112e945aa5cb2850040bcf26a3ea65b5a715c83afe05e48a, downloaded f8298eb153a4b37d112e945aa5cb285040b0cf26a3ea65b5a715c83afe50e48a)

I'm very confused. I'm using the hash from a local sha256sum. And it seems to nearly match, but one zero has moved to a different place? Wat?

Python agrees with the sha256sum hash.

I think it's broken printing code:

result.push_str(&format!("{byte:0<2x}"));
