'apt-get install lmodern' fixes it

Not critical for 0.6, de-milestoning (and I'm a bit dubious about how easy this would be to fix, since I think it's something the tex that Pandoc generates uses)

Nominating for milestone 5, production-ready (and I'm not sure it's still an issue, not having Ubuntu handy)

Maybe there's nothing more to be done here than putting the lmodern prerequisite in the docs somewhere.

I was thinking it might be possible to bundle it with Rust, but it seems like... a minor point.

minor packaging/dependency issue, declining for production ready. maybe configure can detect it?

Still just a bug.

Low priority.

On Ubuntu, you have to install the texlive-full package to have a full blown installation that includes lmodern (Latin Modern), TeX's default font. (the basic texlive package cannot have it working out-of-the-box)
We should require a full installation of texlive.

EDIT: or we could just add the lmodern package as a dependency (17MB).

This ubuntu is so old, is this relevant?

I added lmodern to the install wiki a while ago.

Although I prefer this type of error to be handled more gracefully than 'read the docs', I also don't care greatly.
