BTW, sometime in the recent past (i.e. I think the last two weeks; I can get more specific SHA id's on request), my ARM Chromebook rust checkout has gone from self-hosting (woo! just 2 to 3 hours for a stage2 rustc build!) to kaput, because of some build issue in compiler-rt. . . sorry I do not have more information available on this right here, it is some build issue in one of the c files supporting sync...

indeed, it does seem to. (Now my problems are in the mismatch between the arm rustc I'm trying to bootstrap from and the version of the compiler this particular point in master is expecting; that's not a problem I expect to get solved up here.)
