Cloning the official repository and executing "mvn clean verify" resulted in the error described by akhabarovIT (https://github.com/akhabarovIT) i nthe serenity-core issue 3260 (serenity-bdd/serenity-core#3260)
As mentioned there, to fix that issue serenity must be upgraded to version 4.0.15
