Core Team
The Core Team is:
Core Team Alumni:
- John Nunemaker (GitHub, Twitter)
- Wynn Netherland (GitHub, Twitter)
- Steve Richert (GitHub, Twitter)
- Ryan Waldron (GitHub, Twitter)
One major goal of this library is to be a comprehensive and up-to-date wrapper for the Twitter API. As such, team members are expected to monitor changes to the Twitter API by:
- Following @twitterapi
- Subscribing to announcements
- Participating in discussions
Other membership responsibilities include:
- contributing to the library,
- reviewing pull requests,
- moderating posts to the mailing list,
- answering questions on the mailing list and Stack Overflow,
- writing documentation,
- updating the
CHANGELOG
- maintaining compatibility with supported ruby versions,
- being an advocate for consumers of the Twitter API,
- determining the future direction of the library, and
- nominating members to the Core Team.
If you are interested in joining the Core Team, you must first be nominated by an existing member. The best way to be nominated is to start performing some of the responsibilities of a team member. The most straight-forward way to is to start contributing bug fixes and enhancements to the library. It's no coincidence that the existing Core Team is made up of the top contributors to the library. That said, you can become a Core Team member without writing any code. For example, we would love to have a Core Team member who is focused solely on improving the library's documentation or someone who consistently provides great answers on the mailing list.
