About

Terra is a multiplayer, grid-based virtual board. It is primarily designed for use in tabletop games, such as Pathfinder or Dungeons and Dragons.

Terra allows many users to connect, peer-to-peer, and share a virtual environment controlled and edited by a single Host user. The Host can grant each user access to move and edit their own characters within the board.

Additionally, there will (eventually) be added tools to help with common problems, such as measuring distances.

Terra is the successor to a previous program made by ShadowMoose, Gaia. Gaia was a similar platform, but it lacked core abilities such as zooming/panning, required a middleman server to connect users and save data, used outdated front-end software (jQuery), and had no support for animated entities.

After Terra reached full feature-parity, Gaia was decommissioned. Currently, there are only a few outstanding features that remain before the next milestone is reached.
