CNY2023 v1.2

This is a Chinese New Year greeting card and mini video game for the Year of the Rabbit. Gong Xi Fa Cai, everyone!

• v1.2 is the version that'll go live on CNY Day (Sun 22 Jan 2023).
• Fix: Rotate Prompt no longer appears during the loading phase.
• UI/UX tweak: win/lose screen now stays for 8s instead of 5s.

CNY2023 v1.1

This is a Chinese New Year greeting card and mini video game for the Year of the Rabbit. Gong Xi Fa Cai, everyone!

• v1.1 adds major improvements to the gameplay and UI (mostly the Home Menu).

• Gameplay:

  • Win screen shows the score. Lose screen has a helpful retry prompt.
  • Both win & lose screens redirect players to the home menu after a short pause.
  • High score system added.
  • Level improved:
    • Layout of Boost Pads (clouds) improved, they now tend to cluster towards the centre.
    • Height of level increased. This also means there are now 20 (instead of 13) coins to collect.

• UI:

  • Home Menu's layout and visuals improved. Home Menu should now look better on really wide and really narrow screens.
  • "Please rotate the screen" prompt added. This appears when the screen is tall/device is in portrait mode, and can be dismissed.

This is a Chinese New Year greeting card and mini video game for the Year of the Rabbit. Gong Xi Fa Cai, everyone!

• v1.0 is an early release, basically the minimum viable product.

Includes:

• Home screen with CNY2023 card
• One level where a rabbit tries to reach the moon
• Simple win/lose screens

Doesn't include:

• A score display on win screen
• A high score system
• More than one level / level selection
• A restart prompt on win/lose
