FWIW, I either didn't know this or it is a recent addition, but you can use CMD + SHIFT + P and select Developer: Inspect TM Scopes to enter a very detailed TM-scope browsing mode within VSC. That covers my only use case / need for this extension in the first place.

Same here, Windows 10 pro, VSC 1.31.1.
I already know there is the command @glebec refers to, but I need something to inspect tm scopes by code and I also get a "cannot find module 'scope-info'" while trying to use this extension by code (I'm going to open another issue) and I think they could be related.

The native VS Code feature behind CMD + SHIFT + P is called Developer: Inspect Editor Tokens and Scopes now.
