Dissociate Your SIL Email from Google Apps

If you have created your own Google account using your SIL email, you will need to dissociate your SIL email from your Google account prior to your new account being created. If your SIL email is a secondary email on your Gmail account, this is not a problem, but if you are using your SIL email to sign in to Google, you will need to change that before your new account is created. Here's how:

• Log in to Google using your SIL email
• Click your avatar or your email address in the upper-right corner
• Click Account in the box that appears
• Under the Email header, next to your Primary Email (currently your SIL email), click Edit
• Enter a different email address that you own and your password and click Save Email Address
• Follow the instructions to verify your choice

Alternately, you can sign in to Gmail using your SIL email and register for a new Gmail address for that account.
