GapMis: a tool for pairwise sequence alignment.

This repository is divided in 5 branches:
1. master
   an empty branch consisting only of this README. All other branches originate from here.

2. gapmis
   GapMis -- the standalone, open-source toolkit.

3. libgapmis
   A library of API functions.

4. libgapmis_vec
   A multi-threading library optimised for the SSE3 instruction set.

5. libgapmis_gpu  (not yet created)
   A multi-threading library which makes use of the GPU.
