How is the performance?

Out of the box, it should maintain a stable 60 FPS, although it can go much higher. The pack limits framerate to 90 by default (and vSync enabled) because the Steam Deck's internal refresh rate is 60. And the internal refresh rate on OLED models is 90. Most modern shaders run great too! DeckCraft comes with a few shaders, with configurations optimized for the Deck, so that you don't need to install them separately.

For shaders, I personally recommend using MakeUp or Complementary Reimagined, as they look great (highly configurable too) and perform very well.

Can I make a modpack with this?

Yes, you can! Feel free to use this in any way you want! If you are making something public with this like a modpack, all I ask for is credit somewhere. You don't have to give credit - after all it's just a Minecraft modpack, but I spend lots of time maintaining this and it would help a ton. If you do want to give credit, just put the Modrinth page in there.
