This issue tracker is used for reporting and tracking which software provides correct support for color fonts.

  • Firefox web browser supports COLR / CPAL since version 26.

  • XeTeX and LuaTeX do not support COLR / CPAL, but support for automatically coloring cinnabar marks in LuaTeX is provided by the churchslavonic package. There seems to be no plan to support color fonts in TeX at the moment.

  • LibreOffice on Linux supports displaying color fonts if FreeType 2.10.x and Cairo 1.16.x are installed. Export to PDF is not supported. On Windows, color fonts are not supported. See the issue tracker.

  • Microsoft Office 365 supports COLR / CPAL. (Can someone verify this?) (Is export to PDF supported?)
