For STC/#16 we could discuss possible scientific developments:
- Newton solver in SOFA,
- new mechanical models (Smooth Neo Hookean in SOFA, or Yeoh in Caribou)
- new methods (Iterative Potential Contacts, Penalities: A Novel 3D Surface-to-Surface Unbiased Contact Algorithm for Penalty Method Solution of Frictional Contact Problems)

I can also add

  • Alternative to FEM: XPBD, Projective dynamics and material point method
  • High-order elements in SOFA
