I publish all my personal projects on Github, some of them are useful, others are there just for fun. I also fix annoyances and bugs in other open source projects: KDE, Rust, D, Python, Spring, Azure, ...

Randomly discovering that a project of mine is used by someone else is one of the best feelings in the World. For example, I was trying out a few new terminals and discovered Kitty and looking through the soruce and issue tracker I discovered, that the OpenGL bindings were actually generated by a tool of mine. Oh or, well that millions of people have my code on their PC because they play minecraft (that's just awesome).

I publish my projects and contribute to others because I believe in Open Source. I don't want to make money and I am currently in a fortunate enough situation that I don't need money. But sometimes people just really want me to buy a beer or help pay for some server costs.

So what do I do with the sponsored money? Probably pay for server and domain costs (don't worry they are not expensive), maybe sponsor some other people that I believe are doing great work or just buy myself a beer or some Tea and being grateful that people enjoy my work.
