@spencergibb These are sample alerting rules for prometheus. Whereas the Grafana dashboard is objective these alerting rules are somewhat subjective - which is why I believe they are suggested in the documentation as a sample. I'm not sure where you draw the line, these could just as easily be part of the prometheus documentation.
