@ExceptionHandler doesn't work on CGLib-proxied controller in Portlet MVC [SPR-7337]

An exception handler is never invoked when the controller is proxied by CGLib in Portlet MVC. The issue already fixed for servlet MVC. Please refer to #10627 for details.

Fixed as of Spring 3.0.4 - will be available in tonight's 3.0.4 snapshot. Feel free to give it an early try...
