Read your Plain Old Documention with QuickLook.
If you're a Perl hacker who reads documentation, This will reformat POD inside your Perl code and convert it into something easier to read.
Firstly, download and unzip the most recent build I've made https://github.com/downloads/squeeks/PodLook/PodLook%201.3.zip from here, or clone the repository and build the target yourself. You'll need a recent copy of Xcode.
Simply put the PodLook.qlgenerator into your ~/Library/QuickLook/
folder, or make it if it doesn't exist. Then crack open a terminal and run qlmanage -r
. To uninstall, just turf or move the file. This should work just fine under 10.6 and Lion.
Charset handling, at present we assume everything is UTF8. In addition a way to "fall back" to OS X's own syntax hilighting, or our own better one if there is no actual documentation inside the said file.
There could be bugs with this! If there is, please let me know. Patches, as always, are welcome as well.
