I made up a bunch of questions you might be wondering. Mostly because I like to hear myself talk.
Q: What is gShell? A: gShell is a collection of Cmdlets that provide a convenient and powerful PowerShell wrapper for 15 Google APIs and hundreds of API endpoints.
Q: What is G Suite (formerly Google Apps)? A: G Suite is a professional version of the Gmail type tools (Drive, Email, Calendar, etc). For more information, see https://www.google.com/work/apps/business/
Q: Why can't I read my user's Emails, Drive items or Calendars with gShell? A: By default the Gmail, Drive and Calendar APIs only work for the person calling the command. However, you can get around this by using a service account.
Q: If I have a personal Gmail account, can I use gShell? A: Technically, you can use any of the Gmail, Drive and Calendar APIs with gShell - the rest won't work because they assume you are a domain administrator.
Q: Is this an official Google Project? A: Nope! I am making gShell to fill a hole in the world that I feel needs to be filled.
Q: I used gShell and everything blew up! Are you liable? A: Not a chance. This is a hobby project, and it's use-at-your-own-risk (see the license in the installer for more information). It's open source, so you can see the code directly! If something went wrong, you can be the one to let me know, or you can even fix it yourself!
Q: Why is your sense of humor so bad? A: I tend to only work on gShell in the wee hours of the morning, and that can do crazy things to a person...
Q: My question isn't here, what do I do? A: Check out the Discussion Groups for more help!
