Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
This release v9 of Firebase introduces the new modular API, which enables tree-shaking, bundle size reduction, and other benefits. However v9 has a redesigned API, so it is expected that we will need to make some changes to upgrade it. For more information about how to migrate to v9 of Firebase, please follow the following link here.
