Huh, are you sure the folder is supposed to be "pt_BR" for this? I've only seen two-character language folders before in Laravel.

Yes, I'm sure. This is the standard for languages with multiple variations. For example, the Locale Code "de_CH" represents German language in Switzerland, and "pt_BR" for Brazilian Portuguese.
You can check laravel-lang . That's a package with various Locales in Laravel.
