v0.18.0-beta.2 crashing on launch

I had the same problem and downgrading to 0.17.0 didn't fix for me. What fixed for me was to give full disk access and the permission to access the Claude code things in the Keychain, and a reboot after that.

Before that I would open Codexbar, it would not show the taskbar icon, but remain in memory. Running codexbar in the command line would output correctly, following the default settings.

Similar issue for me except that instead of crashing, just nothing happens when i launch the app. Only V 0.17.0 is working for me. But it automatically updates to v0.18.0-beta.2 and becomes literally unusable. All permissions mentioned in the readme are granted, still not working.

The initial issue was a resource loading failure caused by an incorrect hardcoded path in
the app's Swift code (specifically in resource_bundle_accessor.swift).

The Issue
When launching the app, it crashed immediately with the following error:
Fatal error: could not load resource bundle: from
/Applications/CodexBar.app/CodexBar_CodexBar.bundle

The application was looking for its main resource bundle (CodexBar_CodexBar.bundle) at the
root of the .app folder. However, in standard macOS app structures (and in this specific
build), that file is actually located inside the Contents/Resources/ directory.

The Fix
I applied a "symlink patch" to redirect the app's incorrect request to the correct
location:

1. Workaround for Permissions: Since /Applications is protected by system permissions, I
   moved the app to ~/Applications/CodexBar.app.
2. Symbolic Link Patch: I created a symbolic link at the root of the app bundle that
   points to the actual bundle location:

~/Applications/CodexBar.app/CodexBar_CodexBar.bundle
3. Result: When the app tries to load the resource from the root, the symlink successfully
routes it to Contents/Resources/, allowing the app to launch without crashing.
