Fixing Rocket.chat+ for iOS #30
Comments
@maisutton can you post a screenshot and/or the exact error message you're seeing? |
There really isn’t an error message. It just says “It is required that your
server supports SSL” which is what it says before I even enter the URL to
our chat.

Our rocket chat server is behind a reverse proxy, and it does support SSL :-/ The way I've debugged rocket chat in the past is by watching the rocket chat logs while opening/closing/signing in on the app. In the past there have been bugs with the paths requested by client apps. @maisutton what version of the rocketchat+ app are you using? Let me know if you want to spend 30m - 1hr debugging. I can watch the logs while you try to use the app. |
Oh that's weird then... Seems like a great way to debug it @bennlich! I'll be working on stuff all day, so just let me know when you're able to debug it with me. (I can still use Rocket.chat so you can ping me on there too) |
Debugged w/ Mai. Reinstalling the app seemed to fix, probably because the server had been updated since the first install, and the app had somehow got itself into a bad state with the old version of the server. |
The Rocket.chat+ app isn't working for iOS due to some kind of SSL issue that could be resolved by configuring a reserve proxy server.
Mai sent a message to tech support at Rocket.chat and they responded with the message below:
