GBC-Spelunky

An attempt to demake Spelunky 2 for GBC. This was a wildly ambitious project, and I only just managed to get a playable version ready, although I ended up having to convert it to an endless runner type game, and cut a ton of the planned content.

You get 4 hearts, and from there you're on your own. Make it as far as you can into the game, collecting as much gold as possible. You get 1 minute and 30 seconds to complete each level, or your game will end. The game currently does not save your score, so if you want to keep track, you're gonna have to do that manually. The source code is decently well documented, with the odd comment here and there.

Controls

Left/right: Move

A: Jump

B: Whip

Down+A: Drop through platforms

Up: Jump onto ladder

Up/down (while on ladder): Move

A (while on ladder): Jump off

Start (while standing on exit): Move on to next level

Select: Toggle color palette
