That's true.

I do wonder if we can find a better name than create_output. We could go for output create but that would be a bit inconsistent with the way it works right now.

@emersion Is it possible to let the user select the display name so that something like output ONTHEWALL create could work?

I'd rather not. The name picked by the user may clash with real output names (current or future), which would be tricky to handle.

This is a fair point. I don't mind a predefine prefix like VIRTUAL-*. But allowing user to select the name enables having configuration in the config file. Right now, it is a bit tricky, specially if you unplug a display and then want to recreate it.
