Expected Behavior

We should be testing Tekton Pipelines with Tekton Pipelines. Since we haven't designed triggering yet (#315), and we're already using Prow for triggering our CI/CD, it would be cool to use Pipelines with Prow directly.

This means (in our current design), being able to give Prow the spec for:

  • PipelineRuns to create
  • PipelineResources to create for those PipelineRuns to reference

This is something we want to contribute upstream to Prow itself.

Actual Behavior

Tekton Pipeline CI/CD is invoked via prow jobs.

@rawlingsj would you want this assigned to you? Not sure if you wanted to concentrate only on the POC or also to contribute this upstream to Prow :D
