Increase the max number of pinned cards in Time Series

The Time Series dashboard allows you to pin cards, but is limited to
a fixed number to avoid overloading the URL. If TensorBoard had
a more robust user settings storage system, e.g. filesystem,
we should be able to increase the max number of pins.

Why's there such an arbitrary limit?

This message is showing for me even though I only have one pin. I believe it is due to the url query args containing many more pins than are actually present. So far I have been unable to figure out how to remove these, because manually removing them form the url and refreshing simply brings them back, even if I clear cookies.

I managed to clear outdated pins that kept coming back by navigating to http://localhost:6006/?pinnedCards=

OK I hit this today and debugged it.

This is related to stale data in the localstorage in your browser holding older pin states. We need to clear the localStorage to reset this.

The fix:

Open dev tools -> Applications
Right click localStorage and select Clear.
Reload the page and it will be reset

you can also just use a different browser.
