OS X uses black and white icons for a clean and non-distracting look of the menubar. Currently Blink1Control is the only application that has only a color icon and it's not very professional looking.

It's true, most Mac menubar icons are monochrome. I agree I think it could look better. I'll explore what it takes to making it monochrome for Mac.

I guess I'm used to colored icons as on my Menubar, I've got colored icons for Dropbox, Twitter, & Menumeters.
