The Windows implementation hasn't been receiving the attention it needs to be a first class citizen. Even though it passes all the tests on the CI there are a number of issues with it, e.g. #633, #721, #735, #776, #921 and #919. The implementation basically needs a rewrite.

For this we're looking for help as we don't have too many maintainer working on Windows. If you can help please let us know!
