Note

See #786 – consider doing the design these two tickets together, since the HUD and chart panel are interrelated (TVL panel data could be integrated into a single HUD).

Goal

As an investor analysing the historic performance of a given trading pair, I want the Heads-Up Display (HUD) overlay that is shown when hovering over a particular chart tick to be intuitive and easy to read.

Background

We currently have different HUD styles depending on the type of data being displayed. The trading pair candles require the most data points, and the style is heavily influenced by the TradingView HUD. For someone used to TradingView's UI, this is likely familiar and intuitive. For someone less familiar with TradingView, the very short labels may not be intuitive.

Before making a significant change to this design, we should gather more feedback from stakeholders and users. If based on feedback we determine that the UI should be updated, we should go through some design iterations with multiple options and additional feedback from stakeholders and users.

Acceptance criteria

TBD after design
