👋 Hi, I’m Tulga (Tulga-Erdene Sodjargal / ᠲᠤᠯᠭᠠ-ᠡᠷᠳᠡᠨᠢ) 🇲🇳
I'm currently a 3rd year student at KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology) in Daejeon, Korea 🇰🇷
My major is Bioengineering with a double major in Chemistry and AI Specialized Major.
My current dry-lab research interests include biophysical simulations, rational protein design, lab automation and scientific software development. On the wet-lab side, I am interested in structural biology and spectroscopy.
At the moment, I am in Prof. Taras V. Pogorelov's lab (at UIUC), studying the behaviour of biomolecules in cellular bilayers, as well as in Prof. Rajib Schubert's lab (at KAIST), studying the liquid biopsy methods for early-cancer detection. Before that, I did 4 months of internship in Therapeutic Protein Design and Structural Bio Lab (of Prof. Byung-Ha Oh), studying physics- and ML-based methods of protein design, as well as 1 year of undergraduate research in Sustainable Catalysis Lab (of Prof. Yoonsu Park), where I researched on organic reaction development using catalyst optimization.
From high school, I have experience in robotics (I was the national team captain at FIRST Global Challenge 2020) and debates (MUN), as well as native fluency of English and Russian.
