Following this MoveIt! Users Group thread, regenerating the plugin could be necessary to do proper pick & place with moveit. @mikeferguson, do you know if I can make the IKFast plugin just ignore yaw and roll, that are already imposed by the robot geometry? (using TranslationZAxisAngle4D type, according to Martin's answers on the above mentioned thread). Thanks! |
Hello all,,, I managed to regenerate turtlebot_arm_ikfast_plugin (#36) with latest OpenRave,,, Seems to work as the previous version, not better, not worse. But would be great if someone else can give it a try. |

I couldn't use Ikfast to regenerate the plugin for MoveIt Hydro because I have 14.04 and the Ikfast tutorial requires openrave which itself hasn't been upgraded for 14.04. So by now I just patched groovy version to make it compile: it works, but... I would feel happier knowing I can keep updating following changes on MoveIt!
