The fist 0.90 release went out in Jan 2011
The last one went out in December 2011. Does falcon even run against such old version of HBase ?
Supporting an HBase version older than the supported will be interesting.

In the spirit of including as many users and use cases as we can reasonably do, I'm tempted to just adopt this change for now.
Do you have any indication how long you'd need this for ? Once you're at the newer version we can rip this out again and revert this again.

I was hoping to use the newer reverse scanner capabilities in HBase 0.98, I guess we may have to wait for that for a bit.
