I recently rebased from bluefin to bluefin-dx-framework (if that matters). I noticed today that the sequence "fi" was being replaced by a phone emoji, as seen in Software:
Gnome tweaks:
I changed the Interface Text font to "Ubuntu Regular" and the font is displaying as expected now.
