Description

Positive-definite Total Variation Diminishing (TVD) mass-flux schemes have been developed at NOAA/EMC to improve tracer transport in PBL and cumulus convective parameterizations. TVD schemes don't generate negative values for tracer mixing ratios contributing to overall tracer mass conservation.
