It's hard to scroll horizontally when there is a ViewPager inside the panel

I have a image viewer which is made of ViewPager, and put it inside panel, not main content. When the state of SlidingUpPanelLayout is expanded, the scrolling works perfect. But when the state is anchored or collapsed, it's easy to trigger sliding while scrolling horizontally.

I have the same issue with ViewPager inside a RecyclerView row item. In all PanelStates.

I'm not sure If I can implement a workaround using touchinterceptions though.
