Requesting Rooms

• Go to https://classroom.umn.edu
• Click on "Schedule in AStra"
• Sign in with your UMN credentials
• Click on "Request an Event"
• Choose "Twin Cities General Purpose Classrooms"
• For the event name enter "Hacker Hours - [location]"
  • You'll be creating events for each location, East Bank, West Bank, St. Paul
• Enter a description
• Enter an Estimated Attendance of 12 (or whatever)
• Enter a Meeting Name
• Click Recurring
• Start Time, 1pm
• End Time, 4pm
• Day Pattern: Weekly
  • Recur every 3 weeks
  • On Wednesday
• Start Date: Pick the date that Hacker Hours will first be in this location
• End Date: The last day of the last month in the range you're scheduling
• Click "Create" at the top of Meeting Recurrence
• In the "Meetings" section click the box to select all meetings
• Click Request rooms
• Find and select a room that is available for all of your meetings
• In the Signature Line section enter
  • Name
  • Email
  • Deptid of 10154
  • Yes for the Contact Info question
