In an effort to keep us working together and develop sharable tools, I'm considering placing some MBARI developed code that may be useful to other groups under this GitHub organization (for example, a video asset manager). Before I do this though, I want to start a discussion of a few guidelines to avoid any unfortunate mishaps. So to start, here's a few suggestions for collaboration:

  1. Any code placed under the underwatervideo organization should be open source.
  2. The other organization owners (currently @vlferrini and @reynaj ) agree not to ever delete any repositories contributed by others. That would be very, very bad.

... more to come. Any other suggestions?

?I think that sounds reasonable. I promise not to delete!
