EMFI Resources

Resources to get started with EMFI, based on my HWIO USA 2023 & PTS 2024 talks.

Required Components

• Positioning Platform:

  • "3018 CNC" (uses lead screws)
  • 3D printer / drawing robot (uses belts - preferred)

• Delay Generator:

  • FPGA based (~100€): Cmod A7-35T running ChipFail Glitcher
  • Raspberry Pi Pico based (~10€): Pico Delaygen
  • Breakout board compatible with both: EMFI Companion
  

• EMFI Pulser:

  • Open Source, DIY: PicoEMP
  • Commercial: ChipSHOUTER

Optional Components (depending on target / needs)

• Hardware Reset

• Debugger:
  • J-Link
  • Tigard
  • Pico Debug n Dump

Software
