When processing roll call data for https://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_votes/vote1182/vote_118_2_00141.xml
I noticed the data linked to individual voters uses an lis_member_id in order to distinguish individual members of senate.
Is there a reason biogude id isn't used here or at least made available in the roll_call_voting data for consistency? For one it doesn't seem like LIS member id's are available via API (like congress.gov) but bioguide ID's are. Also worth noting bioguides are provided for house roll call files like https://clerk.house.gov/evs/2023/roll035.xml for example
There is a Database that houses all the Senators and there ID's numbers and so on. I know what your where talking about where LIS member id's are available via API (like congress.gov) that would be awesome
