I have a concern regarding the link from UTM wizard to uupdump . net – it is a third party service that itself is dependent on Microsoft. This creates friction: for example, the latest scripts for creating the ISO currently don't work on macOS:
Windows 11, version 22H2 or later
This build requires using Windows 10, version 2004 or later for the ISO to be properly created. Scripts for other platforms will output a broken ISO.
I suggest that the VM wizard should link to a UTM-controlled website instead, which contains additional information and links to multiple solutions for obtaining a Windows ISO.
The same should be done for all links in the app where the linked website is expected to update frequently. If we link to a UTM-controlled website, this website can be updated independently of the app and show up-to-date information.
Going a step further, the app could add its platform and version as a URL parameter and the website may use this to highlight relevant content.
