Subject: Start Menu opening, positioning and search
Setup: 2 Screens, Main screen (Screen 1) in front of me, and secondary screen (Screen 2) to the left which holds the Start Menu Vertically on it's right side.

  • WinKey on Keyboard opens the Win10 Start Menu on the bottom left of Screen 1
  • Pressing the WinIco on the StartMenu though opens the Win10 Start Menu where it is supposed to be: Next to the WinIco to the left taskbar on Screen 2
  • When the Win10 Menu is open (regardless of how it was opened or what it's position is), once i start typing, the Win11 Search Menu opens op on the utmost bottom left position, which is always Screen 2 on the bottom left

Repro Windows Versions

Windows 11 Home
Version 23H2
OS Build 22631.4890

3rd party tweak software installed

None, only Explorer Patcher

Describe the bug

Install Explorer Patcher.
Configure for Windows 10 menu
Use with multiple monitors ..

Expected outcome

Windows Menu to always open in the same location, same for the Search Menu

Actual outcome

Start Menu pops up in different locations depending on the opening source (WinKey on keyboard, StartMenu Win Icon, ..)

pressing windows key opens the start menu on a different monitor is a duplicate of: #2517

when taskbar is not on the bottom, click on search and start typing. It then moves to the bottom.

That is a duplicate of: #1803
