Updates condition monitoring workflow to use Landsat Collection 2 imagery.

  • Collection 2 baseline fitting and assessment/monitoring scripts now included in the workflow_by_state directory.
  • Collection 1 scripts remain available but are considered deprecated and will be removed from future releases.
  • Documentation updated to reflect Collection 2 workflow.
  • New Collection 2 version of Condition Monitoring Explorer app script added to apps directory. Deployed app uses this updated script and displays results generated using Collection 2 baselines and monitoring.

Minor changes:

  • Remove kernel smoothing from visualization script.
  • Updated assessment script to allow users to specify different directories for baseline input and monitoring output collections.
  • Updated documentation site to include more recent publications and added a list of presentations with links to slides when available.

Updated Earth Engine workflow and docs.

  • Included buffering in baseline generation to accommodate reprojecting assessment products.
  • New version of assessment script runs in batch mode, enabling generation of tasks for multiple states and/or year for a specified monitoring period. Removed visualization parameters.
  • Cleaned up visualization code.
  • This release also includes a new-and-improved Condition Monitoring Explorer app, which places the previous Disturbance Atlas app. The new version of the app includes additional map and chart visualization options as well as quick-start instructions. Mapped results also now masked using Global Surface Water occurrence to exclude pixels mapped as almost always water (>95% occurrence).

This version of the condition monitoring workflow has been refactored to generate an ensemble of predictions for each monitoring date and estimate a mean condition score for the monitoring period.
