Uncomfortable tapping areas

The problem is is that more often than not, I tap the red area instead of the green area, if I tap the right side of the message (thinking I'll tap the "message" instead of the "username"), I get the username inserted into my composer, which annoys me because I can't easily remove it without it taking a while.

On that note; the ability to tap and then get a context menu of the messages doesn't "feel good" in comparison to apple's new design language, where the new expected behaviour is that you can long-press anything to get a context menu. I think that is a better behaviour than having to "peck" specific places on the message.

(The yellow area results in the context menu being brought up, but I've had enough times where I was accidentally tapping the extended purple area and bringing up the read receipts.)
