per default ubuntu 18.04 is using systemd-resolved, this change configures the nameservers in /etc/systemd/resolved.conf instead of /etc/resolv.conf.

Could you rebase this onto current master and maybe squash those 3 commits into a single one?

Why not a drop-in file but changing the default config?
