PostgreSQL server is developing fast, and as new features are coming in, it becomes more important to be able to execute SQL that depends on which version of the server is available.

This feature adds server version information throughout the protocol.

NOTE: This is based on the details provided automatically by the connection, which is not available with Native Bindings. So this feature will work only with JavaScript bindings.
